The Independent Insurance Agents of San Antonio (IIASA) had its start in 1913 with eight members. Today, the association represents more than 170 agents and corporate partners from San Antonio and South-Central Texas. 

The IIASA Mission Statement was redefined in 1998 for a more specific and forward-looking emphasis. Today, this declaration serves as the basis for all new undertakings and continuing programs.
