Prospera Housing Community Services (Prospera) is a non‐governmental (NGO) community‐based nonprofit aimed at the development and management of affordable housing. A group of civic‐minded individuals from Prospera shared a common interest and concern for the preservation of multifamily housing for low‐income families. Specifically, Prospera provides oversight and guidance for the ownership and operation of low‐income, HUD‐assisted, housing properties for the benefit of families whose annual income is 50% or less of the area median income (AMI). Currently, 52 multifamily properties, with over 4,000 units of assisted housing, are under Prospera oversight.
