YWCA San Antonio, exists to elimate racism, empower women, and promote peace, justice, freedom, and dignity for all. One of 204 associations in the YWCA USA national network, YWCA San Antonio is an independent 501 (c)(3) nonprofit with its own board, bylaws, and articles of incorporation. YWCA San Antonio achieves its mission through programs aimed toward helping women and their families break the cycle of poverty and achieve self-sufficiency: child care, youth engagement, economic empowerment, and health equity. Our racial justice and gender equity advocacy and education program incoporates racial justice cirrculum into our programs, while educating the community about systems change.
